How To Deactivate A Cat – And Is it Safe For Your Little Friend?

Did you know that you can deactivate your cat? And do you know how does is it works, and when and how to do it without damaging your little furry friend?

Animal hypnosis makes a pet can’t move and doesn’t respond to any commands. Ancient Egyptians knew that type of method, and it first appeared in Western literature in 1646. A lots of tries were made to understand how we can make mice, rabbits or rats, and guinea pigs not move. And it works! But wait a minute. Admit that you have seen a lot of YouTube videos with cats being deactivated or just funny ones. They’re funny, yet a little bit scary. How does the cat feel, and what’s going on with it?

Instinct

When the mother cat has her kitties, she keeps everything under control for them. If you please, that you have a couple of active cats to care about and no thumb to grab and carry them to the safe area. All the cats were picked up on the neck by their mother, got calmer than ever before, and it is easier to carry from one place to another.

What Do The Scientists Say?

Scientists show that cats can be locked for a while when clips are placed along the animal’s neck. For more, it works better for younger cats than for older ones. According to the research results, we can’t say that is not hypnosis but often the sheared animal keeps lower mobility.

It looks so different here. The difference is that the behavior and reactions of the frozen cat are not good enough in the given place. A speech is about a space in which cats without the clips on their neck behave so much more actively. Researchers saw the pupillary miosis and decreased neuron activities during tests of the method. This action is not much damaging; yet, do not use it too often.

Does It Hurt?

The method causes no pain nor any changes in the heart rate, blood pressure, or body temperature. It can be a safe and easy method to stop any cat from moving for routine veterinary (sometimes it is called the vet’s third hand).

Remember, don’t use it as a way of contact nor for fun because it is an intense form of control. This method should be used carefully and only for serious situations when other roles do not work. You love your cat friend, so you should not make it feel stressed too often. If you want to have some fun with cats, there are a lot of videos on the Internet. If not, leave your cat alone in peace – the way he likes it the most.
