The device is tiny, durable, compact and easy to use. It weights 70g (2.5 oz) and measures 73mm x 35mm (2.9″ x 1.4″). Its recording system is equipped with unique real-time stitching (JPEG, MP4) technology, which doesn’t require post-production software. iO also has an aluminum casing and a lithium-ion rechargeable (915mAH, 3,7V) battery. The camera is easily charged by USB. The iO does have its own battery, so users don’t have to worry about it draining their phone’s.

This product is designed to be as simple as possible and the dual-lens camera pops onto iPhone’s Lightning port. Launch its app and a spherical view on the screen is instantly displayed. Customers can take photos at 3,840×1,920-pixel resolution or record 1,920×960-resolution videos and live stream to YouTube.

The 360-degree camera Giroptic iO has a big chance to succeed. The Giroptic has already gained some great popularity after launching the Giroptic 360cam on Kickstarter in 2014. Nearly 4.000 people backed Giroptic’s first product. Their original camera has an egg-shaped design and contains three 185º fish-eye lenses with an optical assembly that delivers the industry’s largest field of view. This model is still on sale and costs 499€ ($518).

This time, the company is skipping Kickstarter and going straight to shipping. Clients can pre-order a Giroptic iO now for 249€ ($259), but product will be available on January 17th, 2017. Thus, it can be your  Christmas gift for next year.
